Enjoy a glass of cold brewed Taiwanese tea while learning about Chinese Caligrahpyâs history, styles, influences over shodo, writing techniques and the four âtreasuresâ of the study: the brush, the paper, the ink and the ink plate.

We will practice the basic strokes with a specially picked brush âsuitable for beginnersâ and transform them into a Chinese Character or phrase.
At the end of class you can take home both the brush and your finished written piece on an artisanal shuen paper.
